What Is In My Freezer?

by Matt on January 7, 2011

Now that you know what is in my refrigerator, are you ready to take a peek inside my freezer?

Since my freezer is a complete mess, I am taking this post as an opportunity to organize it. It took me about 5 minutes to find a burger bun for my lunch this afternoon!

My side door is mainly reserved for meat and seafood.

The main part of my freezer is meant for everything else:

  • Bread
  • Fruits and vegetables
  • Veggie burgers, salmon burgers, mac and cheese, ect…

Let’s start with the bread. I am a complete carb whore…

CIMG1498

  • Whole Wheat Bread

Yes, I like bread ;)

Next, we have the fruits and vegetables, which are at the very back. I don’t use frozen fruits and vegetables as much as I should, but I always keep some on hand…

CIMG1499

  • Broccoli (which is amazing roasted)
  • Brussel Sprouts
  • Stir Fry Mix
  • Blueberries

And some …

CIMG1501

I bought these about six months ago and still haven’t eaten one yet.

I should do that…

Next is everything else…

  • Mahi Burgers

Yes, I know I have a lot of burgers ;)

My door is reserved for meat and seafood…

  • Grass Fed Steak
  • Grass Fed Ground Beef
  • Grass Fed Bison
  • Ground Turkey
  • Organic Bacon

CIMG1512

CIMG1513

CIMG1514

  • Wild Coho Salmon
  • Wild Shrimp
  • Wild Alaskan Halibut

Of course, every freezer has to have ice cream…

And now, my freezer is officially organized…

Wow, I wish my freezer had that much variety! If I don’t go through my pantry once in a while I forget what’s in there – if I can’t see it I won’t use it.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who puts bread in the freezer! :-)

Where do you buy bison? I’ve heard such good things about it; I’d love to try it sometime.

I buy it at Whole Foods. Story of my life LOL.

Have you tried grass fed beef? I actually prefer it to Bison.

I’d show you my freezer but all it contains is a bag of ice and some frozen homemade pasta sauce.

I basically never use the freezer.

How do you store your ice cream?

Don’t even get me started on ice cream. Once a love of my life it has since fallen to the wayside after I’ve discovered the acne-dairy link.
…but at least my face is clear!

That is why you buy COCONUT MILK ice cream. It is 10x better than dairy. Trust me, I know my coconut products ;)

Wow, you really like bread! I’ve tried putting bread in the freezer, but I never like it as much afterwards. You have succeeded in making me really hungry at 9:20 am, though!

I ALWAYS toast my bread straight from the freezer and I never notice a difference. I can’t stand bread when it is not warm ;)

That bread stash is pretty impressive! Feel free to send any extras my way – I’m a carboholic, too! :)

I’m a carb whore too but I hate freezing bread because I feel like the softness goes away. Which is therefore just an excuse to buy lots of bread and leave it in the fridge and eat it before it goes bad :)

Have you tried toasting to straight from the freezer? That’s what I do and it seems fine.

i’m scared of your pantry…hahhaha. Anyways, how long does it take you to go through a loaf of bread? how long do you freeze it for? Either way, I’m still VERY impressed that your fridge/freezer is more organized than mine! Something is wrong here!

I go through a loaf or two a week. I freeze it until it is gone. LOL.

Remember that I am a clean freak/psycho. You do not want to see how clean my apartment is.

Wow – my freezer is packed but yours has way tastier goods! I also don’t keep as much frozen fruit and veggies on hand as I should. I like to freeze bread too – you have so much variety!

I hate to break it to you but you’re not missing out by not trying the Sunshine patties. I just bought some because they were on sale. They’re being discontinued at my store and now I know why they aren’t carrying them anymore! :)

My freezer is full of chocolate and cereal – so random! I’ve always wanted to try those Sunshine burgers. I hear they are great! I’ve tried to get in the habit of making my own veggie/bean burgers but sometimes you just need to grab one quickly! I want to see your pantry…

How are the Whole Foods tuna and salmon burgers? I love fish, but I’ve never tried it in burger form…I’m a little scared!
BTW the coconut cookie dough ice cream is probably one the best things I’ve ever had! Have you tried any other flavors?

You certainly have a good variety of foods crammed into your freezer.
I always love seeing fellow food bloggers’ food stocks, so I’m all for a pantry tour!
