Sunday Confessional

by Matt on January 23, 2011

Did you check out the guest posts I had lined up for this weekend?

Thanks ladies :)

I haven’t done a “Sunday Confessional” in a few weeks, so I felt the urge to write one today…

Before today, I thought those people who had a special box to take pictures of food were weird.

CIMG1778

I now have one of my own…

I still think they are weird, but I am a nut case too, so I am allowed to think that ;)

(I used to make it)

I am the most independent person that I know (I am dead serious), but it was REALLY hard for me to say good bye to Bama-dad this afternoon.

CIMG1770

He liked the lobster I cooked for him last night ;)

I felt like a baby writing that, but I am a big baby…

I had to Google the NFL teams that are playing in the playoffs today.

Chicago Bears

Chicago who?

Don’t hate me Susan!

While riding this morning, I was watching .

Burger

The Perfect Burger

I was about two seconds away from having one for breakfast. The only thing stopping me was the fact that my sweet tooth was absolutely screaming.

Guess what I am having for dinner?

Oh yeah, I did ride my trainer for a little bit this morning…

Sunday Workout

Cycling: 90 minutes

  • 10 minute warm up
  • 5 minutes hard, 5 minutes recovery (repeat 7 times)
  • 10 minute cool down

I felt like I was working in a during that ride.

Is it me or are the sweaty workouts about 100x more satisfying?

If I don’t break a sweat, I think I would rather take a rest day ;)

How was your weekend?

I didn’t have a chance to read blogs, so update me on your new happenings!

Haha, I try really hard to get into football but I need to really pump myself up to do it! My favorite part about the superbowl is making fun food.
I really enjoyed the guest posts – Gabriella hit the nail on the head with those injury-prevention tips, and I loved reading about how Katy found her “blog voice” and stopped trying to fit the food blogger mold.
Glad you had a nice weekend with your dad! I still have a hard time leaving my parents too…I miss them a lot!

Umm..pancakes for dinner?? Oh man I could go for some pancakes. :-P

My weekend was great! My brother in law’s wedding was so much fun. Good food and lots of dancing.

I think it’s kind of sweet you miss your dad. I don’t think we are ever too old to actually appreciate our parental units.

I agree. Working out without breaking a sweat is a waste of time. Dripping or bust.

After a hard speed session this morning, I WANT THAT BURGER! This girl needs some meat. Love the confessionals, and the light box.

I am very glad that I came and look forward to seeing you again next month. I bought a Bama water bottle at the Airport to use in my workouts. Have a good week.

Glad you have a close relationship with your dad. I loved seeing my parents when I was away at school. My weekend was good and pretty low-key. Great outdoor run yesterday – it was sunny and beautiful in Dallas. Hope your week gets off to a great start tomorrow!

I’m having a panic attack just thinking of moving away from my parents. I’m dreading it! I’m independent too, but my parents are awesome :)

Does that mean I’m a nutcase too, just thinking about making my very own photo box? :)

I’m glad you enjoyed your weekend with Bama-dad! It’s always nice to spend some QT with family.

I had a weekend filled with relaxation, running, and a little football. My best friend’s dad is a die hard Packers fan and he said he would fly her home for a party if the Pack got into the Superbowl. I had to watch – and they won!!

breaking a sweat definitely is the best type of workout. sometimes in the winter i debate going to the gym (or rather indoors) just so i know i’ll sweat a lot. hahah.

I made a “lazy” lightbox…but then got way too lazy to use it, and my mom kept getting frustrated at having a big box sitting on the table. Can’t say I blame her. Needless to say, it’s been recycled :P Yours looks like it’s actually done right, unlike my…lazy ways, haha. Have fun playing with it!
Don’t worry – I had no idea about the playoffs, either! In fact, I thought football was all done last weekend, and this weekend was the Superbowl. Little did I know…

The guest posts were AMAZING! I loved Katy’s views on health, and I loved Gabriela’s tips for preventing injury (especially #2 — to strength train). :D

My latest post was on the importance of balance in nutrients; If you get the chance, you can check it out here:

Burgers sound really god right now. We had tacos for dinner (with tons and tons of spinach), so a veggie burger sounds quite apetizing right now. :)

Oh man, if I don’t sweat that’s that worst! That’s why I don’t like running in the cold. Although, a cold gym is the absolute worst- or when someone points the fan at you in spin class!

My husband and I were JUST talking about how we feel like we’re working 100x harder when we get a good sweaty workout in. When we don’t sweat it just doesn’t feel the same.

I’ll only hate you if you cheer for the Packers…or the Steelers. Gah, I hate both teams in the Super Bowl…I’ll be enjoying it for the food!
