I am DONE!

Finally some time to blog… Even though I am exhausted!

I am finally done with finals! I had my last one today (English) and I think it went OK. I didn’t study a whole lot for it because I needed to get like a 34 or something to get lower than a B in the class. I had to get almost a perfect score to get an A, so my grade was pretty much set in stone, which didn’t give me a whole lot of motivation to study. Don’t you hate when things like that happen?

I was so relieved when that test was over… So I went for a run.

Time: 1:28:35

Distance: 11.19 miles

Average Pace: 7:55 per mile

Once my test was done, I headed over to Starbucks to relax and get my second breakfast + coffee. That blueberry muffin tasted like heaven. That reminds me that I need to make some muffins soon. Does anyone have any good recipes? I felt so relieved and just relaxed there for a little while and surfed the internet. I think I actually fell asleep for a few minutes ;)

Once I had properly digested, I set out on my run. I love mid morning runs, but it was COLD, so I bundled up. I stuck with shorts, but I put on a long sleeve, a light jacket, some gloves, and a hat. My legs were cold for the first few miles, but I warmed up after about 20 minutes and I was fairly comfortable for most of the run. I was actually a sweaty mess at the end. I love that feeling.

I am not going to lie… This run was pretty tough both physically and mentally. Today was just one of those days where I wasn’t really feeling super energized, but I wasn’t feeling horrible either. It was sort of in between. You know what I mean? I wanted to run, but I didn’t really feel like running at the same time. It was just one of those days I guess. I pushed through the first few sluggish miles and I felt a lot better at the end. Running always gives me a kick in the ass and a boost of energy. I always feel better after a run; sometimes the hardest part about running is just getting started. I just have to get dressed, put my shoes on, and just GO. Once I get going, all is well (most of the time). I wouldn’t run every single day if I didn’t like it!

I am looking forward to doing absolutely nothing for the next few days. I am not going home until next Friday, so I have a lot of time on my hands to relax, run, and cook. My three favorite things :)

See you guys tomorrow!

Congratulations on finishing your exams, and enjoy your days off!

I think we should have a contest to see who complains more about the weather.

saaaaweet!!! I bet it feels so good to be done with school…for now at least! I know what ya mean about the run. Getting started is the hardest part sometimes. Now I just need a kick in the butt for the swim I have planned for after work today. The pool is heated, but it’s cold and rainy outside. Hmmf.
