Weekly Run-Down: 9/7/2009-9/13/2009

Time: 10:46:37

Distance: 85.54 miles

Average Pace: 7:33 per mile

Another solid week out on the roads. I have less than a month until the Chicago Marathon, so I plan to keep mileage lower until the big day. I hate to say it, but my body is starting to feel the effects of hardcore training for the past few months. I am a little bit tired and my body has some aches and pains, but who wouldn’t be tired training for a marathon? Hopefully this is normal. Maybe taper won’t be too bad then?

Upcoming Week

Monday: Easy run (done, but hellish; more on that later)

Tuesday: Easy run

Wednesday: MP run

Thursday: Semi-long run

Friday: Easy run

Saturday: 18 miles

Sunday: Shuffle

I need a break from speed work this week so I put a MP run in there instead. I’ve been diligent about it lately so it shouldn’t hurt me. Right now I just need to work on maintaining fitness.

great running and it’s definitely normal (or at least that’s what ppl told me) to feel a little run down at this point. the taper will take care of it when you get there. you’ve been working so hard and been running so well lately (as always)!
