Weekly Run-Down: 8/31/09-9/6/09

Total Time: 11:15:18

Total Distance: 85.97 miles

Average Pace: 7:51 per mile

Good mileage this week for not running any doubles. I am probably going to skip out on the doubles for the remainder of this training cycle to give my body some extra rest. One week closer to the Chicago Marathon!

Here is my plan for the upcoming week. It is very similar to last week. Mileage is unknown because we all know I am spontaneous about that.

Monday: GMP (goal marathon pace run) DONE

Tuesday: Easy run

Wednesday: Tempo or track workout

Thursday: Midweek long run

Friday: Easy run

Saturday: Long run (16-18 this week)

Sunday: Easy run shuffle

I am pumped up for some good running this week. Let’s hope the temps are down like last week. I couldn’t have asked for better weather most days.

nice week! i’m impressed that you can do that mileage with no doubles. and i’m also looking forward to a week of more good cool weather.

great week (like usual!) we’ll see if you actually cut out the doubles ;-) but, like emily, im wicked impressed that you can get all those miles without ‘em!

I’m impressed that you rarely take rest days…my legs need a break sometimes! I wonder what your “shuffle” would be like…

dang dude, 85 miles with no doubles! i always read that 70+ pretty much requires them… you are just nuts! (in a good way, of course)
